Macrobiotic diet? What is that anyway? Yesterday a friend told me he
was having injections to remove all the metals from his blood stream.
He tells me that it makes you exhausted but you can live to be 100
years old. I don't know if I want to live that long. I live in a city
where nothing is ever enough. Bigger house, nicer car, prettier
girl, faster computer. I hired someone to wait in line for me to get
the new iphone the other day. Guess what? It's just a phone!!! No big
deal. I don't know where I'm going with this. I really have to
practice slowing my life down. Not being distracted by all the candy
on the sidelines can be challenging sometimes, but I know my life
runs just as well even when I don't have the latest gadget. In LA
you can phone your oven to preheat it from 80 miles away. The house
might be on fire when you get home but at least you cooked a turkey.
Today I will practice staying present and living in the moment. Not
tomorrow, not next week.... just right now. Be well.

Daniel - August 13, 2008

JetSpeed Records has signed Ukrainian hardcore Christian metal
sensation Factor 150.

United States of America (Press Release [1]) August 18, 2008 --
JetSpeed Records is proud to announce the signing of their first
metal hardcore Christian band Factor 150. Factor 150's track "In
Hands Of Jesus" will be featured on JetSpeed Records' upcoming
Christian compilation album "Pure" to be released August 31st, 2008
available through www.jetspeedrecords.com .

Factor 150 was created in late 2002 by members of Opozicia: Igor
“Lis” Shemigon – vocal, Dima Titorenko – drums, Sergei Kovtun – bass;
and two guitarists Svan and Max “MaxFactor”. The first performance was
on 27/11/02 in “The Rock” church. The line-up existed till July 2003.
During the period the band recorded two songs for demo (“Truna” and
“NLP”) and gave about seven concerts with bands Deathdemona, Holy
Blood, C.O., Proroki etc. In late May Svan left the band and Eugene
“Gas” Kerpatenko became new guitarist of the band. At the same time
the line-up beefed up with the second vocalist Eugene Shemigon.
Thereafter the band made new material and actively concretized. They
gave concerts with Rasta, Inshiy Vymir, Popcorn etc. At that time
they play hard punk, hardcore and nu-metal. In the late 2003 the band
stopped existing. After the break up of Factor150 some members decided
to revive Opozicia.

At the beginning of 2004 MaxFactor and Eugene Shemigon made a
decision to revive Factor150. They invite new musicians. Rain, McDan
and Max Z joined Factor150. Rain became drummer, McDan – guitarists
and Max Z – bassist. The band started playing hard type of nu-metal
(like Slipknot, Mudvayne and Soulfly).

During next year the line-up undergoes many changes. In late 2004 Max
Z leaves the band, and Kurakov “Kura” Kostya became the new bass
guitarist. In summer 2005 the band members decided to part with
singer Eugene, who became the bass guitarist of Opozicia. Max “Twist”
took the place of vocalist. At the beginning of 2006 Kura and Max
“Twist” left the band. Soon after this Vlad (bass guitarist of “Ne ot
mira”) became the bassist of Factor150. In May 2006 new vocalist
Nikita appears. This is the current line-up of Factor150.

Currently Factor150 is writing new material.

For more information:

JetSpeed Records Enterprises
1626 N.

Hey I just wanted to say that i have found this awesome little gig in
Camden, London. They get unsigned bands, to perform. I went to the
last one and it was amazing!! i enjoyed every second. I particularly
enjoyed this band Mamas Gun who stole the show, and i think they are
linked to Lockout music. I found out when the next gig is which will
held in Sept, and to find out some of the new bands go on to
www.lockoutmusic.com [1] I found loads of bands really do have
amazing talents. There is going to be this band called The Ashbies,
which are performing at Lockout next and they sound so fresh.

Thanks

Links:
------
[1] http://www.lockoutmusic.com/

hey there,
how goes it? we are doing pretty well, and are excitedabout how much
our touring is picking up. lets conversate about thispast show we had
in st louis.... the place was lemmon's basement, oneof the best venues
we've played in - the sound was excellent and thepeople were great.
they even hooked it up with some free drinks andpizza, hells yea! we
got to bring along a new friend from chile - itwas her first american
rock show. she said she liked the show betterthan the album! now thats
a compliment. anyways, so we are heading tothe show, with directions
from the guy at the music store (brian lefthis capo so we had to get
a new one), and i guess somewhere we took awrong turn. let me go
ahead and say that if you are navigating the finecity of st louis,
try and detour around 32nd street. i got freaked wheni saw a guy in a
1980's convertible with antiques furniture in theback..... kinda
unsettling to me, something about antiques, i dont knowim just weird.
he actually kinda looked like woody harrelson'scharacter in king pin,
ha. we made it out of the antiques districthowever and the show was
great. i put some pics up from the show, theyare in the "live" album
- check em out. after rocking the basement'ssocks off we headed back
to hotel and john got me into the worst cardgame ever. if john g
comes at you with something like, "dude, this gameis the best, we
have to play - you can go first." proceed with caution.i ended up
leaving with a belly full of room temperature corona. mccallhad to
get back to her grind at meijer's but i stuck around with john, doug,
and panchi (our chilean friend) and we got to go to the archafter
grubbing some bagels - usually my first order of business for theday.
i had driven past the arch several times but when you actually getnext
to it you realize how awesome it really is. the thing is huge, shiny,
and has the coolest bubble elevator system ever invented. myonly
questions are, why are the windows at the top so small and why isthe
floor not glass? i'm writing the mayor next week. we headed homeand
called that trip a success.
last night we were jamming out atthe shed and it was a great time.
we have been doing this new dealwhere we dress up all fancy like and
it is sweet - we have been lookingood baby! i'm talking vests, ties,
the whole works. i lose around 5lbs because of how hot it is, but the
freshness and style are def worthit. the crowd was great and the
weather was nice, i always love theoutdoor gigs. the floor there has
some contour to it, i almost faceplanted a couple times but i
maintained composure and got through theshow without taking myself
out. im gonna mark that a success in itself!
Octavius, our r.v. is still getting some TLC from the mechanic, we
didnot get to take it to st louis, but it should be rollin by the 7th
whenwe head to indy for spin nightclub!!! thats a great venue as well,
theykeep it real in that place. last we were there it was the indy
uprisingconcert, and though we are not exactly from there we are
close enoughand we are on the uprising. lookin forward to gettin back
there, thatpart of town the club is in is really cool. they have a
qdoba if youhad any doubts about just how cool. so yea, thats the low
down as oflate. we are still eagerly awaiting the mixes for the new
tracks we'velaid down, so hold on!

if you were in front of me, i'd shakeyour hand or give you a hug
depending on how well i know you, and say -keep it real and thanks
for reading. i'm off to asheville so see thebro - brent

I have been crazytired all
day; do you ever wake up and just can't fall back asleepdespite how
ridiculously early it is? Yea, that was me this morning. But I am
making it and have some exciting things to share. Our myspaceand
website are nearing completion ! We are looking forward to our
newe-homes and hope you can enjoy them as well. The live chat will be
funfor sure, everyone that has been dying to ask me all their
questionswill have a field day... ha, right. But really I hope to be
able to sayhey to some people that check out the site, I'm always
down for somegood conversation. If that sounds like you too, we will
have ourselvesa time. Speaking of having a time, lets get into the
dirty on how weare rolling in style to St. Louis....
We have found ourselves onesexy vehicle for our touring, I've not
witnessed the glory in personjust yet, but it will happen all in good
time. McCall has told me ithas enough retro style to make a velvet
suit unwravel. What will beinteresting as well is who drives it
there... there is no experiencebetween the band on driving a RV.
Buckle up right? I'm confident we canget it there, but once off the
highway and turns need to be negotiatedis when the real fun will
begin. Ha, Lemmon's Basement is going to bedowntown on a tight one
way street - can't wait to parallel the thing!Besides being a serious
lady magnet there will be all types of anticstaking place on that
thing. Put us in close quarters long enough andthings get outta hand
if you know what I mean! McCall had a sweet namepicked out but I
can't bring it to mind...Cornelius or somethingsimilarly greek and
awe inspiring. It will be a blast!
We have alltypes of new presents for everyone just waiting to be
opened as soon asthey are wrapped - the new tunes, music videos,
websites, ahh theanticipation is killing me. They are coming so in
the mean time keep itreal friends, I am off to see what can be done
about some spaghetti!much love - brent

Well this is the second week in a row that i haven't been able to
sleepin past 9 am! Whats happening to me?? Are the days of sleeping
till 2over?

Anyways, we have been so busy with band stuff lately.Just had 2
recording sessions in lexington with this cool dude Dwayne(is that
how you spell his name?) and recorded 2 new songs that will beon our
album (Static and Mad at Me) that have had good responces whendone
live. It was a LOOONNNGG day the first day we went there cuz wewere
there for nearly 9 hours and had a gig late the night before.Waking
up at 6 am to drive to lexington wasnt my favorite part! But
thesecond time we went down there we didnt have to leave till 1 so
itwasnt so exhausting!

Our show at Uncle Pleasants was pretty muchamazing! It was one of my
favorite shows we've played (and brentagrees, we talked about it on
the way to lexington). Our new song"Ghost Tour" went well and so did
the rest of the set. We did somethingcompletely different in that we
STARTED the set with "im a stage" whichis ALWAYS a closer for me (cuz
it wears out my voice). But it asactually a good choice to start cuz
it kept us pumped up for the restof the show!

Well, i would love to go on and on and on and onbut we have a band
meeting today and Another Place Sandwich shop so ineed to be getting
my stuff together.

Peace,

McCall/marion square

Whats happening people
Brent here saying hello and wanting to sharesome news about whats
going down with M Square as of late. We had agreat photo shoot with
the world renowned photographer, Scott Mcintyre, and the finished
shots look great. I won't lie, he kind of makes mefeel like a rock
star.... ohh Scotty. Ha, for real, you need some pics, you need Scott
- he puts it down. After the shoot we had a gig atWoodhaven with the
lovely Teneia Sanders and the ever jamming DudePlays Saxophone. Good
show, the crowd was perhaps not so ready for somuch original music
but they were responsive in a positive manner soits all good. Some
storms were brewing and we had to pack up a littleearly but we got
outta there before anyone got electrocuted and thatsall that really
matters, right? The following day we went down toShangri-la
Productions in Lexington and got to meet one of the coolestmo-fo's
we've ever had the pleasure of working with. Duane Lundy'sstudio is
bomb, the vibe their was top-notch, and with a bad assproducer like
him it was a great time working with him. In the studiowe took swings
at Static and Mad at Me, both of which will be soundinggreat once we
give them just a little polish. We will be heading backthere to finish
up some vocals and tweak a guitar note or two - can'twait! After the
studio we got to jam out at Lakeside and we had afantastic time, the
crowd was one of the best we've had in Louisville. To top it off,
during the whole show Ian was inches away from fallingin the
pool....I seriously contemplated dive bombing him off the drumriser
and into the lanes but I figured we might get a whistle blown
onus....So yea it was a good week and more are sure to follow,
especiallysince Lunic is coming in town this Saturday!!!! We will get
to open upfor her and we are damn excited. Uncle Pleasants is about to
getrocked! Def. come out for this one, it will be happenin. Thanks
forreading this, I appreciate your time and attention. take care
-brent/marion square

(I did give myself a haircut today, but no jaeger was involved.)

Hey good people, how is it going? I felt the need to discuss how
ourfirst music video went. I’ll start from the top. We found the
locationbelow the apartment - it is where Highland Fitness is going
in, withthe help of awesome video director Stephen Clark. The
treadmills hadnot come in yet so we were working with an empty, very
dusty, brickwalled warehouse type of deal. After much shop-vacuming
and 2x4relocating, we had the place looking reall nice. We got some
paintingson the walls, rugs for us to play on, christmas lights all
over theplace, enough candles to alert police of an occult gathering,
old dirtymirrors, and antique dressers all culminating in what looked
like, asStephen put it, "a bad ass loft in new jersey" (i have never
been therebut i will take his word that they have the best lofts). So
we had themood taken care of. Filming began, and after going through
Draw theLine 20 some times I can confidently say it is Marion
Square’s mostrehearsed song - so much that when we started jamming
around on othertunes I felt we were way off! Next was of course, the
beer. We got holdof the beer and called up some friends to bring
their friends and weended up with a good crowd. The festivities began
and the "party scene" - you know when the band is playing for the
small crowd that lookslike they just injected mountain dew and things
are wild - was justawesome. I can not believe cops did not come
because we were gettingdown. In retrospect, a music video was not
what I thought it was goingto be - much longer than I thought a three
minute video would take andsurprised at how good we got at one song
playing it over and over (I amdrawing the line on listening to Draw
the Line for quite a while - Iwas beginning to think my riffs sounded
like a broken record).... Wewant to thank everyone who helped make the
video happen and we aredying to see it and get it on the air. I am off
to bowling green, asheville, and lexington to see some good people.
Keep on keeping on -be ready for some live lunch on wfpk on the
11th!!!!

Hi gang...

I woke up way too early this morning, ughh! I am feeling a bit
anxious I suppose as I am about to embark on a journey to Japan and
Europe
in a few weeks. I guess I'm a bit jazzed to get going again. I will
be
shooting another video for "Best of Me" just before I leave because I
won't be back in LA for awhile. This is my favorite song on the
album. (Man there is nothing to eat for breakfast in my house...
only strange food that I wouldn't feed my dog. Although he is
staring at me right now as if I'm gonna let him eat it.) I went to
see "American Teen" last night. GREAT movie!!! I loved it... reminds
me of when I was in High school. The small microcosm world I lived in
where it only mattered which girl I would take to the dance or how to
avoid the bullies... I guess my life is still like that except there
are more girls at the dance... I have certainly mellowed since then.
(seriously though there is nothing to eat in this house!!!) So anyway
I have
to walk my dog before he bites my leg! I hope to see you on the road.
Please stop me if you see me and say hi... much love, be good,
Daniel - August 3 2008

A Recoding Contract is an agreement between the recording label and
the recording celebrity. In it the artist is responsible to make sure
that he/she only works for the certain recording label for the typical
exclusivity responsibilities in the contract (of course that depends
on the recording label). Furthermore, any profit a an artist makes
means he owes a percentage of that to the recording label and not
only that, typically, the recording label owns copryright of the
artists music and holds master copies.

Our Little Cowboy Buckaroo

We wonder where our little cowboy buckaroo
has gone at times.
He used to ride the horse out front of the five
and dime.
He always wore a pair of cowboy boots and a
cowboy hat.
He was always the most handsome little cowboy
buckaroo and that my friend is a fact.

Our little cowboy buckaroo had himself a
stick horse.
He loved that stick horse very much, of course.
He'd ride it in the back yard and in the front
yard to.
He'd ride his stick horse in every room of the
house if only just for you.

But then he started growin' up and then he
started school.
He had to get his homework done before ridin'
his stick horse; that was the rule.
Then he no longer wanted his stick horse, he
wanted a real horse.
We let him take ridin' lessons but we couldn't
buy him a real horse, of course.

Now when he became a teenager he started to
learn to rope.
He told us he wanted to rodeo, at least that was
his hope.
In the summer we sent him to a ranch to learn
to rope and ride
The way they do at the rodeo. It gave him lots
of pride.

Now he's in the rodeo ropin' calves and bull-
doggin' steers.
This has been his life for quite a number of
years.
He also works out on a ranch. He can do most
anything.
He will always be our little cowboy buckaroo.
And I tell him so if he picks up the phone
when it rings.

Yes he will always be our little cowboy buckaroo. The Bunkhouse
Cowboy. He's the Cook

The cowboy looked out of the window of the
bunkhouse.
And saw the snow-covered mountain far away
in the distance.
Then he saw all the cattle grazin' near the
bottom of the mountain,
On the beautiful green grasses of the plains.

As the cowboy watched the cattle grazin', a
rainbow did appear
As the rain began fallin' softly on the plains.
And he saw the many cowboys herdin' the
cattle up the trail,
Comin' toward the bunkhouse and they were
hungry, he could tell.

So the cowboy in the bunkhouse quickly put
his trousers on.
He went out to the campfire and put a big
pot of coffee on.
He started cookin' bacon, steaks, eggs and
stew.
He wanted to make sure there was enough food
for everyone in the crew.

As the cowboys got much closer the cowboy
from the bunkhouse
Ran over to the big corral and opened up
the gate.
And the cowboys herded all the cattle into the
big corral.
Then they all yelled, "Cook, we're hungry.
Where's the food for all your pals?"

The cowboys were tired and dirty so they all
went and washed up.
Then they all had a feast to eat. It was like they
couldn't get enough.
They sat around the campfire and told stories
for a while.
Then they all went to the bunkhouse for a good
deserved night's sleep.

The next day when they got up, they knew it
would be another long day.
For they had to do all the brandin'. It had to be
done within a day or two.
Then some of the cattle would be released to
roam on the plains again.
And the rest would be taken to market to be
sold and never live again.

Well, the cowboy looked out of the window of
the bunkhouse once again.
This time the cattle were bein' loaded on semi-
trucks to go and meet their end.
But the cowboy knew this had to happen so all
could continue to live.
For all the other cowboys needed some money
to keep their own families fed.

So be happy for all of the cowboys who round
up cattle each year.
Be happy that they are willing for some of
those cattle to share.
And remember that cowboy who feeds all the
other cowboys so they can do their work.
That cowboy that looks out of the bunkhouse
window and makes sure all the other
      cowboys get fed.

From a Baseball Cap to a Cowboy Hat

I remember a little boy just ten years old wearin'
a baseball cap.
He wore his cap day after day you couldn't get
him to take it off.
Well then one day his Daddy said, "Son, do you
what to go to the rodeo?"
The little boy said, "Yes, Daddy. That would be
fun" so they went to the rodeo.
And as they sat watching the horses and the bulls
the little boy was looking at something else.
For he saw each cowboy with his cowboy hat,
cowboy boots and chaps.
After the rodeo was over the little boy and his
Daddy went to the gift shop.
The little boy turned to his Daddy and said,
"Daddy, I want a cowboy hat."
So his Daddy bought him a cowboy hat and his
baseball hat, it disappeared.
For Christmas he got some cowboy boots. For
his birthday he got some chaps.
He heard about the lil' britches program when
he went to another rodeo.

The little buckaroo said, "Daddy, please can I be
a cowboy and learn to rope and ride?"
So at 11 years old he joined lil' britches and went
up the ladder in the rodeo show.
And then when he got to high school he kept on
goin' and won at one of the rodeos.
So remember this one thing all you Daddies.
If you take your son to a rodeo wearin' a baseball cap,
It maybe the last time he wears one, for from
that time on he will be wearin' a cowboy hat. But of Course

My little buckaroo and I went to the zoo
For he had never seen wild animals before.
He turned to me and this is what he said,
"Can I have a black and white striped horse
like that one?
To me that would be so much fun to have."
So I told him that was a zebra not a horse.
And he turned to me and said, "But of course."

My little buckaroo and I walked a little farther.
He saw something else he had never seen before.
So he said, "can I have a horse like that one?
The one with the real long neck and a back that
you can slide down on."
So I told him this was called a giraffe. This was
not a horse.
And he turned to me and said, "But of course."

My little buckaroo and I walked a little farther.
And there to his surprise was an animal he was
sure was a horse.
So he said, "Can I have a horse like that one
Daddy? I think I could ride him."
So I told him that was a large mule. People used
them as pack animals to carry their loads
up hills and rocky slopes. He wouldn't make
a very good horse.
And he turned to me and said, "but of course."

Well, my little buckaroo is now seven years old.
And one of our horses just had a foal.
So I told him the foal was his to ride when the
foal got bigger.
And he was happy as he could be to finally get
his own horse.
And my little buckaroo said, "I finally have my
own horse.
And I said, "but of course."

Coyotes

C is for a beautiful CRY that echoes thru the
sky in the wilderness.
O is for an OUTSTANDING sound when it's
heard from far away.
Y is for a lovely YELPING on a silent night.
O is for the ONLY sound you might hear for
miles and miles away.
T is for a TUNE you can listen to all night long
at times.
E is for a sound I could listen to EVERY single
night.
S is for the lovely SOUND of a very beautiful
wild animal.

Yes the sound of the Coyotes can sound sad and
sometimes sound enjoyable, I've heard it both
ways and depending on my mood I like them both.

How about you, Saddle Pal? Hey Lil' Buckaroo

Hey Lil' Buckaroo;

Take a little time to be happy
Each and every day.
Take a little time to be happy
All along life's way.

Hey Lil' Buckaroo;

Take a little time to be happy
If that means wearin' cowboy boots,
Wearin' some chaps and a cowboy hat.
But Lil' Buckaroo, always stay happy.

And as you ride your stick horse every day
all around your yard
Catchin' all the bad guys and puttin' them
in jail,
Wearin' a nice white cowboy hat and your
sheriff's badge,
You'll sleep all night long on your bunkbed
where you'll be safe tonight.

Hey Lil' Buckaroo;

Take a little time to be happy
Each and every day.
Take a little time to be happy
All along life's way.

Hey Lil' Buckaroo;

Take a little time to be happy
If that means wearin' cowboy boots'
Wearin' some chaps and a cowboy hat.
But Lil' Buckaroo, always stay happy.

Then as you get older and a pony you
get to ride
All around the bunkhouse, corral and
the horse barn outside,
Practicin' your ropin' and ridin' for the
brand,
Dreamin' of bein' a cowboy when you
become a man.

Yes, Lil' Buckaroo, always stay happy.
Yes, Lil' Buckaroo, I hope you'll always
be happy.
Good night, Lil' Saddle Pal Buckaroo.

He Finally Felt Like a Cowboy

I remember a story that just must be told.
Of a middle aged man who wrote cowboy poems.
He wrote cowboy poems for kids with different
activities in each book.
And one day he went to sell some at a junior
livestock show.
Well, the first day of the show they were judging
horses,
When the man asked if he could sit out front and
sell his cowboy poems.
They told him, yes, so he sat and sold his cowboy
poems.
He sold three that day but others said, "Come
back and we'll buy some then."
So the middle aged man came back a few days
later
When the judging of the farm animals began.
Because there was a lady who said she wanted
two books for her twin grandsons.
So the man brought the book even though he
was very sick.
But he couldn't stay because he was feelin' so
poorly.
So he went back home and called his Ma and Dad.
They said that they'd take his books back out to
the livestock show.
And sell the books for him that very day.
So they came to the man's house and picked up
all the books he had.
And they drove to the livestock show over in a
near-by town.
And when they got to the livestock show and
set up their table,
A man came by and told them they had to leave
the grounds.
They explained, "The middle age man had gotten
permission
To sell books, during the livestock show."
But the man told them he was in charge and he
couldn't let them stay.
For others had spent lots of money to have a
booth at the show.
And there was no more space on all of the
grounds so they would have to go.
Well that was the end of the middle aged man
to sell all the books he had gotten printed up.
But he wasn't through yet because he had
promised a book to a boy who showed sheep.
So for one little boy the middle aged man drove
all the way back to the livestock show.
And he looked and looked for that one little boy.
Well, he finally found the little boy's mother and
she bought the book of poems for her boy.
And the middle aged man, he went home never
to see the boy again.

Well now its twenty-five years later and that
middle aged man is an old man.
And he's sitting at an auction house just to see
what price will be paid for his poems.
You see he never sold any more poems. He had
two boxes of one-hundred to be sold.
And the auctioneer finally took one out and said,
" I have a book of cowboy poetry and coloring
activities for sale.
How much do you want to open with my friends?"
And from the front of the room came, "10 cents."
And then, "20 cents", from someone in the back.
And then, "25 cents" a voice said from the auction floor.
The auctioneer said, "Goin' once, goin' twice."
And just then a voice came from the back of
the room, "How many book do you have".
And the auctioneer said, "One hundred, sir,"
And the man said, "I'll take them all for 10 dollars each."
"Goin' once, goin twice and sold" said the auctioneer.
Well the old man started weepin' as the young
man came his way.
He said, "You don't remember me. I haven't seen
you for years.
I'm the boy you came back to the livestock show
for
To sell just one Cowboy Poems for Kids To.
My mother told me what had happened to you.
I never thought I'd ever see you again.
But I took your book and read every poem at
least a dozen times.
And I colored the pictures and I even made up
some of my own rhymes.
And that book of poems made me want to be
a rancher all my life.
And I'm the Foreman on a ranch not to far from
here.
So you come home and live near me on the
ranch I run.
You will have what ever you need. I have a place
for you to sleep.
So the old man, he was happy that someone cared
about him.
So he lived his last years as a cowboy on a ranch
At least that's how it seemed to him.
And he will ever be greatful to the little boy
who bought his Cowboy Poems for Kids.
Let's go to Heaven Together

There were two brothers, twins at birth, and they
looked just the same.
When they were three they started to change but
no one could really see.
They both had stick horses. They rode all around
Both, cowboys they wanted to be.
They both joined the lil' britches rodeo show
and both had fun riding sheep.

When they got to high school one said to the
other, "Let's join the rodeo together."
And so they both joined the high school rodeo.
One rode bareback. One rode broncs. Both
of them, they rode bulls.
But one, he did much better then the other one
and so his bother quit the rodeo.
He went off and got in trouble while his brother
was a star at the rodeo.

Then sadness set in on the brother who was a
star at the rodeo.
He wanted his twin brother to stop going the
way he had decided to go.
So one day they both got together and had a very
long talk.
They said,"Neither of use has been good all the
time don't you think it is time we change our
lives?"

And together they said, "Lets go to heaven to-
gether even though on earth at times we will
be apart. Yes, let's ride our horses to heaven
and up there we will never be apart. Yes,
let's go to Heaven together."

And from that day they were closest of friends.

He was a Lil' Cowboy Buckaroo

He wanted to be a cowboy from the first time
he saw the paper on the walls.
We moved into a new house and one bedroom
had cowboy pictures on the walls.
There were cowboy boots and cowboy hats,
cowboy chaps, pairs of spurs and even
       some lassos.
And from that day we moved into our new house
he wears cowboy boots. He will not wear
      regular shoes.

He had to have a stick horse so he could be a
cowboy everyday.
And when he started havin' friends come over
they had to play cowboys or go away.
I know some day he'll grow out of it, I mean
always wanting to be a cowboy.
But until he does I let him just keep on bein'
a lil' cowboy buckaroo.

The other day I looked out the window and saw
what he was tryin' to do.
His stick horse was stuck in the ground and my
lil' buckaroo was makin' him a loop.
He'd throw the loop at the horse's head. It would
miss and he'd try again.
And then I saw him rope his stick horse and he
ran all around the yard yellin', Yahoo, yahoo,
      yahoo."

Now every night when he goes to bed his stick
horse lays right next to his head.
And his cowboy boots are on the floor and his
cowboy hat on the bedpost at the foot of
his bed.
And when he wakes in the morning and comes
to eat breakfast the stick horse gets to eat too.
My lil' cowboy buckaroo puts the head of his
horse right in his bowl and says to me,
       "We're eating, how about you?"

It won't be long and my lil' cowboy buckaroo
won't use his stick horse any more.
And that's the sad part of kids growin' up. They
don't want what made them happy before.
Well, I walked in his room while he was at school.
His stick horse was behind the door.
It had been broken but I didn't know it and I
guess he doesn't care any more.

My lil' cowboy buckaroo, he is no more. (Cry)

The Missing Cowboy

Do you know what happened to the cowboy
Who was mendin' fences out on the plains?
He was supposed to be back to the bunkhouse
A week ago before we got all the snow.

His horse never returned to the ranch house.
No trail could we find that we could follow.
No hoof prints were found in the white fallen snow.
So we didn't know which way we should go.

We found the last post he put in the ground.
The wire was just a little ways away.
He was one of the best cowboys we had on the
ranch.
So we'll keep lookin' for him for as long as
we can.

Two week had gone by. We were about to give up
On ever finding that cowboy again.
But he showed up unexpected to everyone's
surprise.
Back to the ranch on his horse he did ride.

He went into the foreman with something he
had to say.
Most important to this cowboy was he wanted
to stay.
"You see, my father was dying and so I just had
to go.
I couldn't tell anybody. I just couldn't chance
being slow.

My father is much better. Doc said he would
survive.
But when I got to my dad Doc thought that he
would die.
My father is more important than any job I
could have.
So I'm ready to work again. If you fire me I'll
be very surprized."

Well the foreman told the cowboy, "Your job it
is secure.
You're one of the best cowboys I've known and
that's for sure."
So the cowboy that was missing got up on his
horse.
And went back to mendin' fences on the plains
of course.

The Old, Old Cowboy

I was talkin' to an old, old Cowboy today.
He told me that very soon he'd be goin' away
To that ranch house prepared for him in
Heaven up above.
He knew he was goin' there because it was
Jesus that he loved.

He said, "when I was a young Cowboy I wore
cowboy hats of black.
I got into trouble with other Cowboys and
that's a fact.
But later in my middle age I gave to Jesus my
life.
And I married a cowgirl. She was my Christian
wife.

You see, I've been a Cowboy for just about
seventy-five years.
But I've only been a Christian for fifty years
or so.
I'm eighty-seven and counting. I won't be here
for long.
For soon I'll be in Heaven singin' Christian
Cowboy songs.

Songs like, "I am a Cowboy a Christian Cowboy."
And songs like, "Heaven's Ranch". Now that's
a song for me.
And songs like, "Let's go to Heaven Together."
I like that song you see.
Because when I get to Heaven my brother I
will see.

Yes, I was talkin' to an old, old Cowboy today.
And when I was finished I just wanted to go
his way.
And so I gave my heart to Jesus, and to Heaven
I will go.
And that old, old Cowboy, all the other Christian
Cowboys to me he will show.

He was a Cowboy a Christian Cowboy.

One Day as a Cowboy

If I could be a cowboy for only one day,
This is how I'd want that day to go.
I'd wake up in the mornin' to the smell of
chuckwagon coffee.
I'd drink my coffee from a tin cup, then on
my horse I would go
Out to help mend some fences before the
day got too hot.
Then help with the mornin' round up.
Then smell some stew cookin' in a pot.
I'd sit around a campfire with all the other
cowboys.
We'd eat our lunch and tell some cowboy
stories.
Then we'd go out to the corral for the brandin'
of the cattle.
Some cowboys, they would rope 'em and I'd
help with the brandin'.
I'd help separate the ones too young the ones
we would brand in the spring.
Then I'd help send them back out to pasture
'til we needed them again.
I'd sit with all the cowboys and have our
evening meal.

We'd sing cowboy songs and tell cowboy poems
and stories for part of the night.
Then I would go on night guard and help keep
the cattle calm.
I'd come back to the ranch in the mornin', then
go home, as that was the plan.
If I could be a cowboy for only a day
This is how my one day would go.

The groundbreaking debut record from New York based hard rockers TRIBE
OF EDEN, prophesies and illuminates a musical and spiritual struggle
on a mythic scale. Musically it’s an explosive barrage of arena-sized
anthems and hard rock heroics with major commercial potential.
Spiritually it’s a burningly passionate battle cry for
self-empowerment, freedom, brotherhood, and love. Author-producer
Bryan Eden’s mission seems to be nothing less than this: to raise the
soul of rock from the dead with a soaring, open-hearted record for the
ages.
Make no mistake about it -- these are great songs carved from
universal themes. Heartbreak and forgiveness, despair and hope,
sexual ecstasy and romantic union, fear and trust, self-liberation
and most of all the healing power of love. Eden’s genius as a rocker
and spiritual messenger is that he harnesses the fiery, triumphant
feel of great rock music (U2 and Led Zeppelin come to mind) to
positive messages that make listeners believe in themselves and in
life.
Every great rock record must convince with great performances. Eden
himself may be the most thrilling vocalist to emerge in a decade.
Guitarist Axeshredder‘s (like Slash or the Edge he goes by his
handle) blazing chops make him a candidate for Guitar Hero IV.
Drummer Ruslan (“The Beast”) Moiseev combines John Bonham’s authority
with Neal Peart’s speed and creativity. And on and on.
In an era of overly compressed, harsh-sounding CD’s, the shimmering,
vibrant sound of this record is a revelation. Mixed by legendary
producer and multi-grammy winner Steve Thompson (as in Guns N’Roses
“Appetite for Destruction”) the record sounds explosive, colorful,
warm and loud. It is chock-fall of ear-candy (Eden must be a huge
Pink Floyd fan) and is a joy to listen to again and again. Something
about the optimistic mood is both infectious and addictive. Turn off
the light, light a candle and listen on headphones. From the epic
guitar blast that opens the record to the rousing gospel chorus that
concludes it, the record will satisfy your hunger for a great work of
art that succeeds in both rocking your brains out and freeing your
soul.

What defines a great record? I believe I have tougher standards for
making that passionate call than most -- I’m certainly more
stony-eyed than the mega-hyping critics whose top 10 discs sleep in
obscurity two or three years down the line. For me greatness hits
like a spiritual tab of acid that re-arranges my senses (and my
reality) permanently and positively. Or, as a Supreme Court of
Justice once said about pornography -- “I can’t define it, but I know
it when I see it”. According to this gut-check, as well as using my
more analytical standards, Tribe of Eden‘s debut record SUPERNOVA
SOUL (2008) is amazing on first listen and may happily prove its
greatness over time. Here’s how I do the math.
First of all, I love the fact that -- like my favorite records by
Pink Floyd, U2, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin -- every song demonstrates
superior writing and fresh energy.
How many records these days have ten kick-ass efforts? These guys
demonstrate very high ambition driven by killer talent!
Secondly, to my mind every great record radiates what I call
“intensity of personality”. I need to sense an exceptional
life-force, a vivid being, boiling forth through the music before I
hang the mantle of “greatness” on it.
Lastly, I must get that thrill of barriers crashing down and more
rock breaking through -- whether the barriers broken are musical,
emotional, mental, or spiritual. If I don’t feel the hair standing up
on the back of my neck it may be really good, but in my book it’s not
great.
Go to Tribe of Eden’s website. Listen to the tracks they are
currently featuring. Put on your best headphones and crank up the
volume. Do you hear a star being born? And get ready to remember that
rock once was great, and it can be great again.

JetSpeed Records' Moldig's Self Titled Debut Album Review on
WWW.Post-Punk.com [1]

Music Reviews:

Moldig - Moldig (2007)
Reviewed by - Frank Deserto

Despite having heard a mere handful of numbers by Italian post-punk
band Moldig, I knew straightaway that they were something special.
After several compilation appearances, including one on our very own
_Notes From the New Underground_ series, Moldig have just released
their self-titled debut in November of this year, and what a stunning
debut it is!

Though the band now consists of three members, Moldig officially
began in 2005 as a collaborative effort between bassist/vocalist
Giuditta Corgnati and guitarist Enrico Bricco. Their sound is direct-
a steady, hard-hitting electric drums backing jagged ancillary
guitars, steady bass rhythms, and the occasional synth line, topped
off with the crème de la crème; female vocals that are far more deep,
driving, and soulful than they are meandering and ethereal,
immediately setting the band apart from the flock.

Meanwhile, the ten tracks that comprise Moldig's debut record are
infectious and catchy, infused with healthy yet non-intrusive
dancefloor flair. Standout gems on the record include 'Danger', with
cyclic guitar dustings laced over driving hooks, 'A Game', a track
ripe for the post-punk gala, and tension laced 'The Sense', featuring
some of the most powerful guitar and vocal work the band has to offer.
Though the record was cut before drummer Daniele Pavignano would
complete the lineup, Blacklist drummer Glenn Marayansky took to the
skins from afar on selected tracks, the remaining percussion on the
record the result of precise programming.

Oftentimes, brevity is not only the soul of wit, but also the key to
a fine record's success. Though Moldig's debut runs just shy of forty
minutes, there's not a single ounce of fat to trim, and in fact, the
record leaves adoring ears eager for more. We only pray the wait
isn't too long, and that Moldig's refreshing and powerful sound
continues to win over hearts both near and far.

Records of Reference:

Death Cult- Death Cult EP
The Sound- Jeopardy
March Violets- Natural History

Links:
------
[1] http://www.post-punk.com/

Hi friends...
so i made it home with not too much of a struggle. I am making the
video for "Next Plane Home" on Friday. I'm a bit more excited about
it than I was from making the others on the first record. I've never
been much of a fan of videos. They usually never turn out the way I
thought they would. However this time I've taken more of an active
roll by coming up with the treatment myself. Markku Lahdesmaki is
directing
it (the same gent that made the album cover) truly talented... We
will
be on a small runway in the desert for the the "Next Plane Home". I
won't give it away but it should be very surreal and wee bit
strange... if you don't like it you can blame me!!! Much love,
Daniel - July 12, 2008

Hi everyone... I'm sitting in the Taipei airport lounge and waiting
to fly home and resting my eyes on a small girl. She is staring at me
and probably wondering why this strange man is wearing sunglasses in a
dark gloomy lounge... oh now she is hiding behind her Father's legs
and smiling at me. I wonder where she may be going. Maybe she's going
home or perhaps a holiday to Honk Kong or Thailand.

My trip was amazing!!! I played the Golden Melody Awards which is
sort of SE Asia's version of the Grammy's. It was surreal and
strange. I had no idea what was happening and felt as though i was in
a pinball machine. The characters and the clothing and artists were
not of this world but i loved the experience. Everything is very
regimented from what you say to how long you play. Oh me.... you
know I'm going to do something that was not scripted, so i gave a
Chinese artist a kiss on the cheek in front of Millions of people.
The label told me not to do it so of course i did it anyway... Big
Deal. I gotta be me right. I love Taiwan... the people were so
gracious
and kind to me. I will be back early next year to tour through Japan,
Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, and China. It should be as amazing as
it always is. My tour manager is yelling at me to get to the gate so
i have to run.

Blessings to you....
Daniel

Jamie recently spent a week in New York recording the big band
parts for his album, followed by more recording in Los Angeles
to record some string parts. Everything is sounding great and
he can't wait for all of you to hear it! While in the US, he has
even squeezed in some time to learn how to ride a horse! No photos
yet though…

On 20th June Jamie flew from LA to Barcelona for his BCJC slot
(his side project with brother Ben) at Sonar festival and
performed to a 4000-strong crowd. The set also featured Darren
Emerson from Underworld.

Jamie's latest gadget is his Tenori-on which is made by Yamaha.
Wondering what it is?! Check it out here...
http://tenori-on.yamaha-europe.com/uk/ [1]

One unfortunate piece of news Jamie received recently was the
sudden death of Jazz musician Esbjörn Svensson who died in a
diving accident on Saturday June 14th. He was one of the most
influential jazz artists in recent history - his band e.s.t
became famous for their innovative mix of jazz, contemporary rock
and elements of classical music which drew both young and adult
audiences to their concerts all over the world. Their albums
regularly entered the jazz and the pop charts, achieving numerous
awards, and Esbjörn's untimely death is a huge loss to the music
world.

Links:
------
[1] http://tenori-on.yamaha-europe.com/uk/
