It all started with a kid who grew up in a town outside of Philadelphia whose music consisteted of an acoustic/christian/rock style. Patrick Hyland started out just playing piano, and then he picked up a guitar, and eventually became a singer/songwritter too. Patrick grew up with his parents love of bands such as AC-DC, Doobie Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad and many other similar bands. With his mom's musical talents and his dad's love of music, Patrick knew he was born to play music. Growing up in a Christian family he fell in love with artists such as the David Crowder Band, Jeremy Camp, Aaron Shust, and Disciple. After Patrick had played his electric guitar in a few real rock style bands, but he knew that if he really wanted to express himself, he would need to become a solo artist. Patrick loved both his electric and acoustic guitars, but when he decided to buy a better acoustic guitar he fell in love with that style, and knew right there and then that that was the key to his music. Patrick's style consists of leading lyrics accompained by guitar riffs and piano melodies. You can find Pat Hyland playing alone or or accompanied by his band. Pat Hyland writes about his faith, his struggles and also experiences he has faced in his life. His songs are up beat, and hit people deep in their heart and soul. Pat Hyland is also a worship leader at his local church. His unique sound makes him different from everyone else, impacting anyone who listens to it.
