The Site
What is Muso City?
Muso City is a music oriented, online community for music fans, bands and artists, musicians, music venues and music retailers. Our aim is to help connect our users, not only allowing bands, artists, venues and retailers to promote themselves, but also helping people form bands and make friends.
Who can register?
Although the site is designed for people involved with or interested in music, everyone is welcome to join. The only restriction is that you must be over the age of 16 to create an account.
Is it free to use the site?
Yes! All features of the site are currently available completely free of charge, although you will need to create an account to send other members messages and use some other functions of the site. It is possible that we will charge for some premium services in the future, but this is very, very unlikely and all basic site features will always remain free.
Is there anything I can do to help?
As with any online community, our site is all about our members. If you want to support the site, the best thing you can do is help spread the word. Tell your friends about the site, include a link to the site on your blog, website, MySpace page or email signature or add us to social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us, Digg, Furl, Reddit or Rojo.
I've found a bug! What should I do?
If you find a bug, please contact us, tell us what went wrong and we'll do our best to fix the problem as quickly as we can.

The Messaging System
How do I send a message to another user?
The easiest way to send a message to another member on the site is to click on the 'Send Message' link at the top of their profile page (you must be signed in to do this). This will open a blank message with that member's userid already entered into the 'To' box at the top of the page. You can also write a message by clicking on the Messages link in the menu at the top of each page, clicking on the 'Write Message' tab, then entering the member's userid in theto box at the page.
PLEASE NOTE: A member's userid is the unique name that they use to log into the site, not the display name that is generally used to identify them . To find a member's userid , look for the bold text that is displayed in the box at the top of their profile page. To avoid having to remember lots of userids, we would recommend that you add any members you are likely to message a lot to your contacts list.

Someone's sending me unwanted or abusive messages! What do I do?
The first thing to do if someone is sending you messages is to block them as this will stop them sending you any more messages. To block another member of the site, click on the 'Block Member' link at the top of their profile. Alternatively, you can block another member while reading any message they have sent you. Just click on the 'actions' button, then select 'Add sender to blocked list'.
