The ivory tower of Activision wow gold

The past couple days sure have been interesting. The internet was a-blaze with angry words across every forum, blog, and comment block available to an ear that might listen. The voices were screaming about how evil Activision is, and how they are killing creativity. They typed, with furious tapping of the keys; “Down with Bobby, off with his head!” Meanwhile, back at the ivory tower of Activision; heavy handed business decisions crpawse are being made. Activision is after all, a business, and when an employee threatens their way of life they eliminate the problem. Like a well oiled machined, this corporate entity churns out a series of lucky winnings and claims success through some kind of savvy business plan. They would seldom admit to over saturating the market with a brand or killing the relevance of a franchise through annual releases. The truth is that we’ve seen this all before, but it was called Electronic Arts at the time. EA has lost a little kick in its step over the recent years. The once great tyrant of the gaming industry has taken a good beating from the public. It has weathered lawsuits from overworked staff, and even found a way to reverse the stigma that was once worn as a crown of pride for the former king. Why the change of heart for the former champion? Why has EA tried to turn over a new leaf with creative new IPs and expanded their growth potential through casual games? Money; it’s that simple. EA saw a decline in their profits and the direct correlation to their reputation. If you have a voice that wants to be heard you have to speak in a language that publishers understand. I can promise you that the shareholders of these publishers sit around the fireplace, in their smoking jackets and pipes, laughing at the online petitions that take shape. Why? Impotent Rage! They know that 99.999% of the people who sign that petition are only doing it to feel like they are a part of something that is greater. These are also the same people who turn around and purchase the very products and services that they have been fighting against. It’s like a written statement that says, “I will be there on opening day.” Do you remember that petition for dedicated servers on Modern Warfare 2? Yeah, that’s what I thought.
In world of Dungeon wow gold Finder PUGs with overgeared wow gold groupmates, when is enough DPS "enough"?
Sehvekah: Maybe I'm just weird, but I *like* topping the meters by (sometimes well) more than 1k DPS with everyone wow gold else doing 1.5k-2k. Yes, it's an ego thing, but not like your knee-jerk reaction would indicate. See, when I'm in a group where *everyone* (including the tank and "healer") is doing 2.5k-5k+, I get my emblems, it's quick, sometimes I get an achievement -- but I never feel like I really *did* anything. Sure, nobody died, but even with emblems or the odd bit of loot from the IC five-mans, I walk away wondering what the point was.
When I'm blowing up the meters with a group of more-or-less fresh 80s, though, it really wow gold feels like I'm *doing* something. I know I'm helping the tank hold aggro via glyphed TotT+FoK combo. I'm keeping the healer in mana by making things die faster before they cause too many problems. I'm helping the other DPSs by making their run that extra bit faster. Everyone (is) getting their emblems and sometimes upgrades from drops, there's the odd achievement, and damn it, the slower run makes it feel more like *something actually happened* beyond my getting two EoF for T10 and a few EoTs closer to kitting my 'lock out in heirlooms.
And that's without mentioning the fact that wow gold these groups often have actual *conversations* and sometimes the awe of those new to the game, experiencing these "tired old dungeons" for the first time. Hell, it even gives me time to slow down a bit and actually *look* at the places I've been running though. So many times I've run Old Kingdom without paying attention to anything more than the loot pinatas scattered throughout, and that was really stupid on my part. A lot of these places are really awesome and deserve to be savored, rather than rushed through.
So to all the newbs, thank you. You're making my playtime that much wow gold more fun, so I'll do my part to help you get the loot you need in return. To those who think recount/DPS means everything, go eat s*$@.
Where do you stand on DPS wow gold thresholds? Do you believe that too much DPS is never enough?
If you want your voice to be heard, for the love of all that is sacred to you, stay true to your word. If you have a protest to make, find the people or organizations that control the money. Write physical letters to the primary investors, and don’t scream in all CAPS about your petty concerns. Unify your voice with groups who feel the same. Become an organized voice with a single purpose. Change has a greater chance through unity than through random assertions, scattered on the web.

======================================================
Related Article:

wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling

The choreography for Highlander wow gold

"Soon after the establishment of the IDF... the removal of all women from front-line positions was decreed. Decisive for this decision was the very real possibility of falling into enemy hands as prisoners of war. It was fair and equitable, it was argued, to demand from women equal sacrifice and risk; but the risk for women prisoners of rape and sexual molestation was infinitely greater than the same risk for men." In British IED specialist Chris Hunter's account of his two month crpawse service in Iraq, he recalls a story of British interference with local affairs. Soldiers on patrol came across a little girl, and perhaps stared at her too long. Her father ran into the street and dragged her away -- he then proceeded to beat her. The soldiers, thinking with Western morals, grabbed the man and beat him twice as hard. The next day they patrolled the area the man came out into the street with his daughter and slit her throat. It makes sense then that insurgents are not likely to surrender to female troops. As well, Lt. Col. Dave Grossman (although proven incorrect time and time again on other issues) offers some interesting thoughts on male pyschology in that the treatment of wounded women in a war zone might set men off-kilter. The paraphrasing via Wikipedia reads: "The reason for removing female soldiers from the front lines is no reflection on the performance of female soldiers, but that of the male infantrymen after witnessing a woman wounded. The IDF saw a complete loss of control over soldiers who apparently experienced an uncontrollable, protective, instinctual aggression." When I was at film school we had a short fight class, with the guy who did the choreography for Highlander. This guy was Force Recon in Vietnam, and I remember one day he said to us that at the end of the day, even in modern warfare, it can come down to two men, knives and fists. During training they had what was called the "bear pit". This was about a platoon worth of soldiers shoved into a muddy pit and told to fight until one man "won". I forget whether he did well or not, but I do remember he recalled being knocked out cold during it.
Blizzard quite clearly believes that players wow power leveling should not be skipping through heroic instance bosses to get to the wow gold last boss ... But do the players?
Qot: I'm wondering if there might be a role division on this topic. If you're DPS, you spent 15 minutes in the queue. Spending 10 extra minutes clearing trash and doing the optional bosses isn't awful and bumps up your badges/hour. If you're tank/heals, you spent a minute or less in the queue. In the 10 extra minutes on optionals, you could've finished this dungeon, gotten your two completion badges and be half way through a Nex or DTK random.
Gamer am I: It's sad that heroics have become so easy wow gold that people feel entitled to skip to the last boss. I think that's one of the new emblem system's failures: giving people raid-quality gear without giving them the content to use it in. As such, they get bored with heroics but don't run anything other than them, so they just want to get them over with quickly.
Docp: I think the problem is, is that people are being forced to do something they don't like wow gold in order to achieve in another aspect of the game. I think giving Frost as an incentive was a mistake; it should have just been two extra Triumphs and left at that. This way, you'd only have people who actually want to run heroics going. I'd rather have longer queues than be forced to team with grumpy people who really don't want to be there.
uncaringbear: @Docp I think you have a legitimate point there. The original idea of rewarding Frost emblems in heroics was to give incentive to high-end players to wow gold participate in heroics and help newer/less-geared players progress through heroics and build up their emblems. Instead, what has happened is that heroics have now become a farming ground for the high-end players who have no desire at all to run them, except to get the two Frost emblems. Many players who genuinely need to run the heroics end up being abused and criticized by the raiders for wearing level-appropriate gear and making honest mistakes.
When you force people to play a part of the game that they don't want to play, this is bound to happen. And yes, these raiders can opt to not run heroics -- but for them, that is not a choice they would ever make for fear of falling behind in progression.
Here is a suggestion: Remove the Frost emblems from wow gold the random heroics. This will ensure that the people who run the heroics are the ones who really need to run them. As an alternative, make a series of daily quests that need to be completed that will reward a total of two Frost emblems. One of the quests can be a group quest. The people who want the Frost emblems can get it on their own time without making others miserable.
Are you a speed-runner, or do you like to savor your heroics? Do you think removing wow gold Frost emblems from the daily heroic would help alleviate the teeth-grinding, "let's get this over with" attitude of some players?
It would surprise me if men would be willing to beat up women during intense combat preparedness training. And it would surprise me if the American military were interested in watering down their training of professional killers to appease...anyone. In effect we sit back in our armchairs and gesture at the military institution "Why are women not treated equally, why are they not treated like men?" Simply, because they are not men. The rest of the world is not so liberal. War is not so liberal -- neither is the training. We do not see female Marines in Call of Duty because there are no female Marines. There is no reason to fret over the resources required for female soldier models, because none of the conflicts the Western videogame industry is modelling feature them.

======================================================
Related Article:

wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling

What does that tell us? wow gold

Well, when presented with the option of standing in a splat of Swarming Shadows crpawse that someone left behind, or moving closer to someone and risking splash damage from Twilight Bloodbolt, it might well be worth staying put. The damage you are likely to take is less than an affliction lock passively heals themselves for. It's by understanding how these things work that we can 'break the rules' -- and standing in 'stuff on the floor' is one of those basic rules we try never to break. I'm certainly not about to give a shopping list of abilities that have some deeper mechanic than strats normally place on them -- that would go completely against the spirit of this article. The idea is to show that free thought and greater understanding can lead to unexpected means of improving performance. It's this free thinking that separates us from a scripted bot. Much the same is true of spell rotations. Now, as locks we have long been aware of the concept of 'spell priority' rather than rotation -- "if this condition is met then this, otherwise that". These priorities typically inform us what spell to cast when cooldowns are up. Do we cast Haunt or Shadow Bolt? Immolate or Conflagrate? We can stand in front of a target dummy all day to get this right. In a real fight we come across more varied situations. What is best cast if we're moving? What about if the target won't live long such as Nether Portals or Blazing Skeletons? If we are threat capped? Another situation that may call for an unusual spell choice is when raid members die. If that boomkin just got roasted do you think about whether you have a spare, or an unholy DK? If you don't you might want to swap over to Curse of Elements -- though that will depend on how long the fight has left and how many caster DPS are still standing.
Some teenagers wouldn't dream of playing a video game like WoW with their parents. Others enjoy wow gold being able to share an enjoyable pastime. And some wow gold players discover that what they consider to be an appropriate level of familial togetherness changes as they get older.
Marita: When I was a teenager (now 24), I too thought the line was too thin and wow gold preferred to have my parents away from my internet time. (No porn sessions or anything like that in my leisure time, just having fun.) But it turned out bad. Why? Because now they don't understand, want or respect anything I like/do that they don't know something about.
In this guide, it is a game the parent plays, but what about an activity the parent knows nothing about? Should they wow gold forbid it and then ask? Or ask and then forbid? Neither.
Looking back, it would have been better to have them there with me, not always but on a regular basis. Because now they would understand me better, judge me less, and wow gold be better parents, because they would have learned to be better parents, and to understand the world as it is today, and to respect me more in this context.
Maybe in Europe it's different (I'm from South America), yes, but they have more lonely people, thousands of lonely elders, people dying alone and found months later. I don't think that wow gold kind of detachment is good. I don't think legal soft porn is good either!
Too much freedom gives nice opportunities to grow up, yes, but is that really the best? At 15 I would have said "yes." Now I know the gap is too big. And I regret it.
What a wistful reminiscence from a grown gamer. My own family plays some half dozen or more games separately, together, in all different combinations -- teenagers wow gold included (or not included, as the particular case may be.) What about you? Do you play WoW with your family?
If a loose mob starts making a beeline for your healer (something that can happen in any group situation) do you consider halting their progress with abilities like Death Coil, Shadowfury or Intercept? Do you look at every boss room and consider where to place your circle? It may not help execute the strategy but can it help if something went wrong? Communication is another valuable tool that sets a good raider apart from someone just following a script. Waffling over the voice channel is a sure way to annoy everyone (typically) but a quick "swapping to elements" lets the leader know what is going on (and that you're awake). I could go on all day but I already said I wouldn't. No doubt you have any number of examples of breaking the mould and saving the day (and I look forward to this week's comments) but think about the little things as well. We all do it but can we do it more? A final note: I think warlocks are prone to creative thinking and wanting to use pets and abilities that they don't normally use. This is a great thing and should be encouraged, but only in the right place. You need to put these things on top of the foundations. If you just enter a fight looking to do the unusual without knowing the strategy or how to get the most out of your spec, then you 're not a robot, but then nor are you a raider. Ooh! A final, final note. If you do pull aggro and have the boss come over to you, try and shatter while stood next to a mage. It may not help prevent a wipe but nobody will really mind as the hilarity will make it all worthwhile.

======================================================
Related Article:

wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling

Do a basic guide wow power leveling

Insider Trader is your inside line on making, selling, buying and using player-made products. Reader Frank recently wrote me and asked for a bit of help with the "staple" products crpawse for each profession. Frank said, "Back in the days of Burning Crusade, I had a pretty good grip on the two or three raw materials that went across each of the professions. Are there equivalents to that kind of thing now in Wrath?" I assume that Frank was probably asking specifically about the crafting professions (like Blacksmithing or Tailoring), and not quite so much the gathering professions. A little surprisingly, he's not the only person to ask me about that this month. It's a little late in the expansion to do a basic guide to Wrath of the Lich King materials, but Cataclysm is going to mean one thing for certain. Everyone will rush to get their professions to a relatively max level, so that they can immediately roll over into Cataclysm recipes as early as possible. Put that together with Frank's request and the inbound patch 3.3.3, and I figured a quick tour of each profession's most sought after raw materials might give us a little boost. Let's take a quick tour of the crafting professions' common end-game materials.Alchemy Alchemy is actually a little bit of an odd critter in terms of understanding their end-game crafting materials. That's because Alchemists not only create important final products for raiding, but also because they transmute gems for Jewelcrafting
How many WoW players does it take to change a lightbulb?
Last week's bizarre e-mail of the wow power leveling week kicked off a whole new meme: how many X wow power leveling does it take to change a light bulb?
Clydtsdk-Rivendare: How many Soviet Russians does it take to wow power leveling change a lightbulb? Doesn't matter, the lightbulbs change them.
How many Titans does it take to change a light bulb? Two: one to change it and one to clear out an Old God infestation a few thousand years later.
How many WoW players does it take to change wow power leveling a light bulb? 1,002: one to actually change it, and one to berate the first thousand others for not having the 5k GearScore necessary to change his light bulb.
How many Kael'thas jokes does it take to change a light bulb? It depends if the burnt-out bulb was merely a setback wow power leveling or a stepping stone to a much greater plan.
How many raiders does it take to change a light bulb? Three: one huntard to shoot (and thus break) the old bulb, one to replace it, and one to ninja all the epics found on the broken bulb's corpse.
How many Gnomes does it take to change a light wow power leveling bulb? Ten: Nine to stand on each other's shoulders and one to replace it.
How many light bulb jokes does it take to change a light bulb? *asplodes*
Hey, Clydtsdk-Rivendare -- get back wow power leveling here and sweep up these broken pieces, eh?
The Transmutes are incredibly valuable, since Alchemists will be able to upgrade blue-quality gems into the sought after epic-quality gems like the Cardinal Ruby. For this reason, most Alchemists will be consistently buying up (or creating, if they can) the blue gems used for those transmutes. The elemental pieces like Eternal Life also go into this transmute process, so you'll often see Alchemist farming those from Revenants. Raiding flasks are the other big produce you get from Alchemists, and they all use either Lichbloom or Icethorn alongside some Frost Lotus. All three of these herbs, obviously, have sold for large sums on the Auction House. Nowadays, however, Frost Lotus isn't quite as rare as it used to be, so you should find these herbs a little more accessible.

======================================================
Related Article:

wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling

Leatherworking wow power leveling

Jewelcrafters are the chief consumers and creators crpawse of gems. However, there's not really "one or two" gems in particular used by the profession. The only real factor in deciding the most popular gem is "what gets purchased the most on the Auction House." Some folks swear that the Cardinal Ruby moves better than any other gem, but I've had the most success mixing up which gems I offer. Jewelcrafters, however, will crave the raw titanium ore, which they can Prospect into high-quality gems. Leatherworking Leatherworking is almost never taken without its sister-profession Skinning. For that reason, most leatherworkers who need materials can be found out in the field, farming animals for their flesh. However, Nerubian Chitin, Jormungar Scales, and Icy Dragonscales are particular leather types that must be farmed from specific mobs. For that reason, you'll sometimes see leatherworkers cruising auctions or the Trade channel to fill a specific need.
This is a comparatively bad idea wow gold until you get to level 64 and finally obtain your wow power leveling spec's primary spell, Arcane Blast. When I die, I will ask Jesus why Blizzard refuses to make this spell available earlier to the spec that relies upon it. Then the good lord will look down upon me and say, "LTP nub." But barring divine wisdom (or a blue post) bestowing upon me the answer, I suppose I will have to settle for my current state of perpetual bafflement.
It's not that arcane mage leveling is terrible, just that wow power leveling you'll have an infinitely easier time of it if you spec frost or fire instead. Arcane's best spells don't come until much later in the game. Does 60+ levels of using untalented Fireball/Frostbolt as your primary DPS spell sound good to you? No? That's cool, you can always spam Arcane Missiles I guess. Because until you hit level 60 and can finally take Arcane Barrage, that's your sole tree-specific damage spell. Have fun with that.
Arcane leveling can be done, but it's simply not a lot of fun for the majority of the game. Switch to it at level 64, though, and you'll have a great time from Outland through Northrend. If you insist upon doing it, then talent your way down the arcane tree first, because you'll want Arcane Barrage as soon as possible, and make certain you fully talent into Arcane Stability right away. You'll want to make sure your Arcane Missiles are uninterruptible ASAP. Prismatic Cloak is another must-have leveling talent. Nothing saves a mage's life like instant Invisibility.
I've recently written an entire series wow power leveling on mage leveling, so visit that if you want a more comprehensive guide.
Arcane's max DPS rotation is actually pretty simple: spam Arcane Blast forever. This will kill everything. Unfortunately, it will also kill your mana pool. It's an unsustainable rotation.
Your actual rotation should look wow power leveling like this: Arcane Blast x 4-->Missile Barrage+Arcane Missiles-->repeat. Missile Barrage is the key here. If it doesn't proc after 4 Arcane Blasts, you have a choice. You can either get rid of the stack with an Arcane Barrage (also the best choice if you need to move), or cast another Arcane Blast in the hopes of finally proccing Missile Barrage. This can be rough on your mana pool, so you have to choose judiciously based on the current state of your mana and the time left in the encounter.
Use Arcane Power, Icy Veins, and Presence of Mind pretty much every time they're up, and when you run out of wow power leveling mana (which shouldn't be happening very often, if you're being conservative about your Arcane Blast spam and Missile Barrage is proccing at a reasonable rate) Evocate. In fact, if you can, it can pay to time an Evocation along with Icy Veins or a Bloodlust pop by the Shaman.
For AoE: Arcane AoE sucks. I'm not saying, I'm just saying. Your best AoE spell is Arcane Explosion, which requires you to A.) be in the middle of lots of things wow power leveling that like to eat mages, and B.) burn through mana like nobody's business. You're better off standing at range and spamming Blizzard, to be honest. Your AoE DPS is going to suck, but nobody much cares about that. Or at least, nobody who isn't a douche cares about that.
Tailoring Tailoring is getting some cooldown changes in the next patch, which is going to radically shift their economy. Whereas specific tailoring specialty items like Moonshroud were at a very high premium, these items will vastly drop in scarcity when the creation cooldown is removed. That makes skilling up Tailoring through the final levels much, much easier. It will also, mean, however, that tailoring will return to caring about raw Frostweave, which can be upgraded to the final Moonshroud materials. (Or, other specialty material.) Good luck, good profit.

======================================================
Related Article:

wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling
wow power leveling

The general thinking wow power leveling

What is The Real Issue For Us? We do not glorify the female top gunner defending a water truck behind the lines -- we glorify the testosterone-driven adrenaline-pumped, sleep-deprived sweaty twenty year old male grunt lying in the dirt with his M16 as rifle rounds pop and zing overhead. But , more to my point here, there is the general thinking, I believe, that crpawse the game industry is sexist. Because the industry is predominantly male and because we're stereotypically "asocial misanthropes" who enjoy a dark basement and an FPS rather than a day at the golf course, it is assumed that a shortage of females in the industry and in the games it creates is solely due to deep-seated sexism funded by a history of supposed social problems and spite. At a local event here in Vancouver, a precursor to having our own branded GDC, the question was asked during a QA "Why so few females in videogames?" The official answer was rather lukewarm and empty, but someone speaking from the crowd offered that there are so few women in the industry because so few apply -- many with the skillsets; usually art-related, get higher paying jobs in film. The majority probably aren't interested, rather than the industry discriminating.
Readers have been captivated by "Invincible," the sweeping wow power leveling new musical piece released by Blizzard wow power leveling recalling the leitmotif of the Wrath of the Lich King trailer.
Kael: Oh man. I really didn't expect it, and this never happens, but that was actually very moving. I got choked up listening to that. It's incredible; I can't wait to listen to it again. That song is the pinnacle of video game wow power leveling music in my book. Wow. Simply astonishing.
Frank: /agreed! I was surprised to find myself getting choked up, too, which is even more amazing because I have (of course) NO clue what they are singing or the context for the music. A piece of music worth an epic event, for sure. Behold the power of music! Hats off to all responsible for this one.
Killchrono: Leitmotifs are my favourite wow power leveling musical convention, especially when used in media like games, movies or shows. You know a song has great power when it becomes synonymous with a character, an emotion or even an entire franchise. Think Darth Vader with the "Imperial March," or the main Star Wars theme.
I got shivers hearing the "Arthas, My Son" leitmotif in this song. It convinces me that this'll be the song that plays during the wow power leveling epic finish, perhaps when Arthas takes his dying breath. It's so sad and moving that it's making me wonder whether Arthas feels the last tinge of humanity in his heart as he dies. Regardless, this song would be an amazing piece to see off one of Warcraft's most influential characters.
Brett: There were excerpts of this in the 3.3 trailer, when the ghosts appear around Arthas while Terenas is talking to him. Such a heartbreaking and evocative piece of music.
Naraxis: Wow, just wow. I have never heard anything that beautiful in my whole life, was absolutely amazing. Before, my motivation for getting to the Lich King to wow power leveling kill him was so I could hack off a piece of his throne for Shadowmourne, but now my motivation for getting to him is to hear that song.
At our house, game soundtracks (including WoW) are a regular part of the mix of our daily music. While my son wow power leveling sometimes queues up a more pumping rhythm when he PvPs, we otherwise all seem to prefer keeping our game sounds on so we can soak up the atmospherics. (Except for Molten Core, back in the day. I think I would have had a seizure listening to that for very long. /twitch) Do you ever listen to the WoW soundtrack or music outside of the game? Do you keep the sound on while you play?
Kotaku's Stephen Totilo posits "Do female characters need to be put in virtual combat? Or, more to the point, are they more important than crumbling walls?" I would say perhaps they should. Perhaps, aside from main characters (of which there are already some, in the soldier role), the grunts in an FPS should be female. But who are we kidding -- how weird would that seem? Like Totilo's assumed stance of towing the female line, it would be an awkward formality. As long as there are very few cases of females serving in frontline combat roles, female combatants will remain the stuff of Vietnam era sci-fi, Aliens, and Stalingrad films. Otherwise it is nothing but a cheap nod for the sake of being politically correct. It is the cornerstone of Buddhist policy that beneath it all we are just one thing: humans. Humans minds influenced by human bodies. But this is not true of the cultures we live in, and those cultures produce real effects that are not just modifiers of perception but of the circumstances we observe themselves. As equal as we would like to believe men and women are as human beings, they are not equal in their roles in the world. If those roles should be or can be changed or not is not an issue for me to speak to, but the depictions of them in entertainment should not be blamed on the depictors.

≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
Related Article:

wow gold
wow gold
wow gold
wow gold
wow gold
