About: Moritz Fortmann a.k.a. Moloco is a musical world citizen. His music is multicultural, multilingual, and genre-breaking; blending Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Soul, Latin, and more.
The German-born artist finds inspiration in music, people, cultures, and soundscapes from around the world. Moloco is an artist, writer, and producer. He has long collaborated with musicians from diverse backgrounds and in multiple formations as he does with The Hirbels, an assembly of musical partners and lifelong friends Felix Hans, Dominik Hauser, and Sebastian Menges.
For his debut album BONBONERA™ (2008) Moloco wrote, performed, and produced the music. He collaborated with various artists from around the world blending a multitude of musical styles and cultures into a unique musical fusion. The album features artists such as Cise Star from the group Cyne (USA), L. Dias (Brazil), and Houwaida Goulli (Germany).
Aside from his own albums Moloco concentrates on producing, writing, and co-writing for other artists. He also indulges in performing music, artist development, remixing, writing movie scores, and more.
Moloco's aspirations lie in creating music that comes from the heart and capturing the spirit of the moment.
