About: Arising from the streets of southern ontario. 4 rather unknown individuals have come together to form what is now known as Before the Dawn. The band was brought together by Matt Patton in early 2004 when the line-up was very shakey and not solid. Going under the name of Godless I Die, things looked very small. However Matt decided he wanted somthing serious so he brought together a 5 peice band consisting of, Matt Patton, Mike Montoni, Jason Gugg, Mike Sigler (now the bassist of axiom), and Jeff Nardini. The bands name was Osiris and they played 2 shows together. After these shows Mike, Matt, and Jason realized this band was destine to fail and they were right. Early 2007 was upon them and they had been without a singer for quite awile. Matt decided he wanted to persue bigger things and joined a band by the name of End Of Eternity. This band never even got off the ground and when all hope seemed to be lost Matt met a solo performer named Paul-Luca Canzio. Matt watched Paul-Luca play a hole set at the infamous Junction Resturant located in Schomberg Ontario. After seeing the talent that Paul-Luca possesed Matt quickly exchanged numbers and got in touch with him for a tryout with the band that was formally known as Osiris. The members remaining were Matt, Mike, and Jay. The band easily decided that Paul-Luca was the diamond in the rough that they had always been looking for. The band asked him to join. Paul-Luca was a bit hesatant to take this offer because he was not familiar with the boys, but he decided that if he didn't take a chance he wouldn't know. The band quickly geled and wrote 7 songs.

In the first show at the Junction Resturant they captured the attention of alot of locals. After this show they played April 20th at the Dungeon in Oshawa and they came out placing 1st out of 12 bands.

Things for this new up and comming band Before The Dawn, look very promising and they will not dissapoint you

Music is awesome. Lead vocal is weak. Thought it was a bad upload but I went to their myspace and was the same. With a stronger singer this band could go far.
