Conan O'Brien heads to Bonnaroo - Conan O'Brien [ tickets tops the list of comedians who will be performing at this year's Bonnaroo [ tickets Music and Arts Festival. The television star, who will be performing in the Comedy Theatre, also will be emceeing the What Stage on Friday and Saturday, according to a press release. Diana Ross to prowl US stages this spring - Diana Ross [ tickets will grace US concert stages this spring, "pulling out all the stops" with a greatest-hits-heavy show featuring a live string section and "breathtaking costumes," according to a press release. Phish cleared for Telluride shows - Phish [ tickets has been given the go-ahead for a two concerts to be held Aug. 9-10 in Telluride, CO. The Telluride Town Council on Tuesday (3/9) cleared the way for the jam band to play the back-to-back shows in Town Park by resolving to exempt the concert co-producers from a deadline that would have required them to notify the town of the proposed shows by May 2009, according to The Telluride Watch . The decision completed the final step in a three-step approval process required by the Town Council for the concerts to take place. However, several other conditions must be met by the band before the shows can go forward, according to The Watch. Concert co-producers Telluride Bluegrass Festival and AEG Live reportedly must reach a legal agreement to insure that the longstanding Telluride Jazz Celebration--scheduled to run Aug. 6-8, is not negatively impacted the Phish shows. A second condition reportedly requires the band to cover a portion of law enforcement costs for the event, which have been estimated to be at least $55,000. Additionally, a minimum of 1,500 tickets reportedly must be made available for purchase only at local retailers to ensure that locals have access to the Phish shows. If the band and concert promoters meet the conditions, the Telluride shows can go forward. The Melvins take 'Bride' on road - Alt-metal mavens The Melvins [ tickets will launch a headlining tour in June on the same day their new studio album, "The Bride Screamed Murder," drops into stores. The trek kicks off June 1 in San Diego, runs through a July 9 appearance in San Jose, CA, and includes a June 12 slot at Manchester. TN's Bonnaroo Festival. Alt-rockers Totimoshi will support on all dates, with The Melvins' Ipecac labelmates Isis providing additional support at about half of the forthcoming shows. Details are included at right. "The Bride Screamed Murder," The Melvins' latest studio effort, ships June 1 on Ipecac Recordings. It will be the third Melvins album to feature the band's current lineup: guitarist/vocalist Buzz Osborne, percussionist/drummer Dale Crover, drummer Coady Willis and bassist Jared Warren. "Nude With Boots," which surfaced in 2008, was the Melvins' 16th studio album in a recording career that spans more than two decades, dating back to the group's 1986 debut EP, "Six Songs." In 2008, the band played a pair of shows in San Francisco with its original 1983 lineup to celebrate the group's 25th anniversary and punk icon Jello Biafra's 50th birthday. Collective Soul plots spring, summer dates - Alt-rockers Collective Soul [ tickets will remain on the road throughout much of 2010 in support of the band's most recent studio album, an eponymous set issued last fall. The outing continues March 13 in Orlando, FL, and the group shows dates lined up through October, including a steady stream of festivals and fairs over the summer months. Details are included at right. The Atlanta-based outfit continues to support last year's self-titled effort, informally known as "Rabbit," the band's eighth studio set and first since 2007's "Afterwords." The 11-track album, which marked the group's debut for the Loud & Proud/Roadrunner label, is the band's first to feature songs--"You" and "Understanding"--written by all the members of the group. "Everybody just really took a big step, dug in, and worked together as a band. It was really nice," lead singer/guitarist/keyboardist Ed Roland said in a press release. "It made everything smoother and that's why I think it's the best work we've done in years." The multi-platinum rockers have had several tracks make it to the big screen in recent months. "Hollywood," a cut from the band's 2007 release "Afterwords," was featured on the soundtrack to the tween blockbuster "Twilight," while season-seven "American Idol" winner David Cook performed the rockers' 1995 hit "The World I Know" near the season's end. Roland subsequently collaborated with Cook on his eponymous debut, which surfaced in 2008.
